No week is complete for me without indulging in a hearty Indian cuisine even if I am based in Cambodia now where Indian food is easily available too. In fact, my Indian friends has always been telling me that I am half Indian because I love Indian food.
Thanks to the invitation by Foodilifecious and the team at Royal Darbar, I finally got my fix of Indian food intake for the week at the very cosy, upscale yet affordable authentic Indian fine dining at the Royal Darbar KL

Nestled in the city of Kuala Lumpur, the Royal Darbar is a (HALAL) Indian Fine Dining & Banquet boasts a comprehensive, innovative menu prepared with only the freshest and best ingredients with a splendid variety of vegetarian and non-veg dishes from traditional, all time favourites ( popular) to contemporary Indian cuisine.

As the word ‘ Royal’ suggest, the Royal Darbar is a posh and upscale looking Indian restaurant where every corner of the place is decorated with story telling paintings story telling that resemble the life and culture of the Indians during he ancient times. Being an enthusiast in the Indian culture, the masterpieces displayed here interest me much.

Food – Buffet
Royal Darbar offers a glorious spread of authentic Indian cuisine with a selection of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian daily at an affordable price where you can eat your heart out with unlimited of paneer, dessert, tikka, chicken, salad just to name like this. For a vege lover like me, my number 1 go to is always the salad followed by other dishes.






Malai Tikka or Chicken Tikka- Chicken meat marinated with yogurt
Bindhi Masala- stir fried okra ( lady fingers)with spice mix – garam masala and other spices.
Dessert- Kheer or Kiru is a rice pudding, made using boiling rice, broken wheat, tapioca, or vermicelli with milk and sugar; it is flavoured with cardamom, raisins, saffron, cashews, pistachios or almonds. It is typically served during a meal or as a dessert.

If those on the buffet line is not enough for your gastronomic adventure, ask for the menu and get your hands on for some signature dishes that can be ordered separately.



This mutton dish blends perfectly with parantha, dosa or even the briyani. I had 2 rounds of rice while eating the dish.

and there’s always space for dessert and indulging Kulfi- Indian traditional ice cream to end the sumptuous meal.
